Erfahrungen:

I make cards and art prints, and I used Reclay for a few years so I can send my orders from UK to Germany. I received an email in September saying I can buy a new licence for 2027, so I went and did so. On the purchase page there was no mention of the new packaging law, or that the licence itself will not be sufficient to send items to Germany. I of course knew of the new law, but I didn't know that a representative is an extra service - one that is extremely expensive (+200EUR), especially as I only send around 10 packages a year. At no point of the purchase did Reclay make clear that the licence is only a tiny portion of the total cost I'd need to pay to sent packages to Germany. I emailed Reclay and explained the situation and said I will not be using the licence for next year and that I want a refund. I think this is a perfectly reasonable request given I paid for a licence in advance that has not been used. Emails from Reclay suggested they first thought I wanted a refund for the current year (2026), and after explaining, they flat out refused to give me a refund. While using condescending language in their emails, they said it's complicated and expensive for them to give me a refund. But that's not how this works? If I pay, online, for a service in advance, that I have not and won't use, I should be able to cancel that service, and be entitled to a full refund. They obviously don't believe so, and frankly, considering that they didn't make the licence and representative requirements clear during the checkout process, I find their actions fraudulent. Or at best, a bad business practice. And all of this is for a licence that costs 12,45 EUR. Also, just a note on these reviews - even though I am a paying customer, I never got the opportunity to review this transaction. I believe reviews are something Reclay requests, not the reviews platform. I had to reach out to the platform, and send an invoice proving I'm a customer, so I could leave this review (yes, I am this petty). Considering the overwhelming positive reviews, I question whether those of us who had a negative experience - especially those outside of Germany - even have the chance to say anything.
