UPDATED: My parcel arrived safely yesterday, 26th May, and I am delighted to say that the item was in perfect condition and is as beautiful as expected. It is understandable that hold-ups can happen that are outside a company's control, and I must say that the messages I received from SmartAmbiente while waiting were unfailingly charming, personalised and polite, so all credit to them for that and for finally ensuring that I received my order.
Where the company could probably improve is in the speed of its customer service responses: it would have been helpful to know more promptly that there would be a delay. In all, the process took 5 weeks from order to delivery and involved my item travelling around half of Europe. Their price was the cheapest I found online for a lovely item though, and they seem trustworthy, so I would buy from them again if I weren't in a hurry.
PREVIOUS REVIEW: No sign of my parcel and no notification where it is. I was not informed at the outset that the delivery time was likely to be more than the 5-10 working days advertised. I made the order on 21st April. On 22nd April I asked if there was a way I could track it. Eight days later I received a message saying it had not yet been sent to Germany from Denmark on 6th May, from where it would be sent to me 'immediately upon arrival'. Now it is 11th May and I have heard nothing from you, no lamp and no tracking number: nothing except your request for a glowing review. You will understand why I cannot provide that at the moment. I will be delighted to update this review if I receive my lamp in perfect condition in the next couple of days. In the meantime, I would be grateful if you could make contact with me to tell me where my lamp is and when I will receive it.
